A relic is an object surviving from an earlier time, a part of a deceased holy person’s body, or an object of sentimental or historical reverence. Synonymous with fragment, survival, and residue; relics are objects that portray mythologies. The mythology of the fallen woman is portrayed in this work through objects that ambiguously link to the feminine body with suspicious beauty and fragmented narrative. These relics highlight the instability of mythologies through their enigmatic relationship to reality, as well as explore a complex representation of the body. Desire and horror exist simultaneously in the unashamed traces of the mythological fallen woman, this work presents her relics as a point of self and ideological confrontation.
