Syrup covered lingerie suspended from drift wood. 2016.

Lingerie preserved in syrup and hung from a branch, a gathering of crystallized cocoons or suspended corpses.  This piece explores the conceptual relationship of wet and dry substances to the feminine body, proclaiming bodily openness and challenging the idealized and purified dry body.  The syrup dries with the appearance of wetness, the result is an in-between state.  Suspended between wet and dry as well as life and death.
